This website is operated by YF BEAUTY ESTHETICIAN INC., operating as Beauty Esthetic Space (BE SPACE), at 1093 Lakeshore Rd E, Suite 2, Mississauga, ON L5E 1E8, Canada.
This policy covers information associated with our website, enquiries and appointment arrangements. It does not replace treatment-specific consent or the privacy information applicable to a healthcare professional’s records.
Information you share with us
When you contact BE SPACE, the information you choose to provide may include your name, contact details, appointment preferences and the contents of your enquiry. We use this information to understand and respond to your request and discuss appointment arrangements.
Please do not send complete payment card details or a detailed medical history through general email or social media messages. Ask us how to provide any sensitive information needed for your particular appointment.
This website is not a medical-record portal. Questions about treatment records, the practitioner responsible for them and how to request access should be directed to BE SPACE using the contact details below.
Website and technical information
Our website uses WordPress. Requests to the website can generate server records containing an IP address, the date and time, the requested address, browser information and a referring page. Technical records support website operation, troubleshooting and security; they are different from advertising or visitor analytics.
The website does not currently provide a contact form, a client account registration service or an on-site payment form. Email links open your email application; Instagram links take you to Instagram. Messages sent through those channels are also handled by the relevant email or social media service.
Cookies, sign-in and comments
WordPress uses cookies for functions such as authorised sign-in and user preferences. These administrative functions are separate from booking an appointment through Jane. Your browser settings allow you to manage cookies; blocking them may affect sign-in or other functions that depend on them.
If you submit a comment where comments are enabled, WordPress processes the information in the comment form, your IP address and browser information. Published comments can be visible to other visitors. A profile image may be supplied through Gravatar using a hash derived from your email address. See Automattic’s privacy policy for information about that service.
Analytics and advertising tools
We do not currently use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking or Meta Pixel on this website. If we introduce analytics or advertising technologies, this policy and any relevant consent choices will need to reflect their actual use.
Online booking through Jane
Online booking is available through BE SPACE’s booking site hosted by Jane. Selecting a booking link takes you away from this website. Information you enter there is processed through Jane rather than a booking form on our WordPress website.
Jane’s privacy notice explains its handling of booking-platform information and distinguishes information associated with a clinic from information used to manage a client’s Jane account. Using Jane does not remove BE SPACE’s responsibilities for personal information under its control. Read Jane’s privacy notice for details.
BE SPACE does not collect complete payment card numbers through its WordPress website. For questions about the card requirement for an appointment, contact us before providing payment information.
Service providers and information sharing
Operating the website, responding to enquiries and arranging appointments involves services such as website hosting, email, social media and Jane. The information involved depends on the service and the way you contact or book with us. Their own privacy notices explain their practices; this policy addresses BE SPACE’s handling of information.
Personal information may also need to be disclosed where required or permitted by applicable law. A link to another website is not an invitation to submit sensitive information there; consider its purpose and privacy information before doing so.
Processing outside Canada
We do not promise that every service processes information only in Canada. For example, Jane’s privacy notice describes processing outside Canada for certain features. The location and handling of information depend on the services used and their configuration, and information processed elsewhere may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws.
Security and retention
BE SPACE is responsible for protecting personal information under its control with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity. No website or electronic communication can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact us if you have a concern about how information has been handled.
Our retention principle is to keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and applicable legal obligations. Different categories of information can have different requirements. This policy does not set a single retention period for enquiries, appointment information and treatment records.
You can ask about the information held about you and its retention. A request to delete information does not necessarily allow every record to be removed immediately; legal obligations and the rights of others may affect what can be done.
Consent, access and correction
You may ask to access personal information under BE SPACE’s control, request correction of inaccurate information, or raise a concern about its use or disclosure. We may need to verify your identity before providing access. Applicable legal limits and the privacy of other people may affect the response.
Where processing relies on consent, you may ask to withdraw that consent, subject to applicable legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawal may affect a service that needs the information; ask us about the consequences for your situation. Booking an appointment does not, by itself, mean you have agreed to promotional messages or publication of your photographs.
