Laser Hair Removal in Mississauga
Hair reduction planned around your skin, hair and treatment area.
At BE SPACE in Mississauga, Ontario, laser hair removal is performed with the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus. Explore the areas and prices below, learn what to expect, and book treatment or a free laser consultation if you are unsure where to begin.

Plan your first visit
You can book laser hair removal directly or start with a consultation when needed. A separate consultation is not required for every appointment, and laser consultations are free.
A test patch is always performed as part of the BE SPACE laser process before treatment proceeds. Your treatment area and relevant skin and hair information are reviewed to help plan the approach.
If you are unsure which area to select, have recently tanned, or have questions about your skin, hair or medications, ask before your visit. You do not need to choose a wavelength yourself.

What laser hair removal does
Laser hair removal uses light to reduce unwanted hair growth. Pigment in the hair absorbs the light energy and converts it to heat, affecting the follicle that produces the hair.
Hair colour and thickness matter because the treatment relies on pigment. Blonde, white, grey and red hair may respond less effectively. Hairs also move through different growth stages, so one visit cannot address every hair in the same way.
The aim is to reduce growth over a course of treatment. The degree of reduction varies, and some regrowth may occur.
Our laser: Candela GentleMax Pro Plus
BE SPACE uses the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus, with both 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG technologies available and used in treatment. Yuliia selects the wavelength and treatment approach according to protocol and your individual assessment.

The numbers describe different wavelengths of light, measured in nanometres. They are not power levels. The choice relates to your skin and hair characteristics, the treatment area and other factors discussed during assessment.
755 nm Alexandrite
Alexandrite uses light at a wavelength of 755 nm to target pigment in hair. It is one of the two technologies available on our platform. Whether it is suitable for you depends on your hair and the surrounding skin.
1064 nm Nd:YAG
Nd:YAG uses a different wavelength: 1064 nm. It is an important option when planning laser hair removal for deeper skin tones, where attention to pigment in the surrounding skin is particularly important. Individual assessment remains essential.
DCD surface cooling
DCD, Candela’s Dynamic Cooling Device, is installed and used during treatment at BE SPACE. It cools the skin surface to support comfort and help protect the skin. Sensations vary. Cooling does not eliminate discomfort or risk.
You can also explore Candela’s Gentle Pro technology for the manufacturer’s overview.
Planning treatment for your skin and hair
The GentleMax Pro Plus gives the practitioner access to both Alexandrite and Nd:YAG technologies, allowing treatment planning to be adapted to different skin and hair characteristics. The availability of both does not mean every person is suitable for either one.
Deeper skin tones require appropriate technology selection and careful planning. A photograph, broad skin-tone label or ethnicity cannot determine your suitability. Yuliia considers the area, your hair and skin, recent sun exposure and relevant information you share before selecting the approach.
Tell BE SPACE about medications, recent skin treatments, irritation or changes in your skin. If you have concerns about how your skin or hair may respond, a laser consultation is a useful place to begin.

Your appointment with Yuliia
Your practitioner
Yuliia Filipchuk, Founder of BE SPACE, assesses and treats laser hair removal clients. She has completed professional training in Laser Technology and training on the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus platform.
The equipment provides treatment options; training and judgement guide how those options are used. Yuliia selects the approach according to protocol and the information relevant to your treatment.

What happens at your appointment
- Your treatment area and relevant skin and hair information are reviewed.
- The treatment approach is selected according to protocol.
- The area is prepared.
- Protective eyewear is used.
- The laser treatment is performed.
- Aftercare instructions are reviewed.
- The next step in your treatment plan is discussed.
A test patch is always part of the process before treatment proceeds. Repeat appointments broadly follow the same sequence, with your progress informing the next steps.
Planning a course and realistic expectations
Laser hair removal is generally planned as a course because hairs are not all in the same growth stage at the same time. The initial plan considers the area, your hair and skin characteristics, and how you respond as treatment progresses.
Hair colour and thickness, hormonal influences, previous hair-removal methods and individual biological response can affect the course. Progress is reviewed, and the plan and intervals between appointments may change.
There is no single number of sessions that applies to everyone. A package is a way to purchase appointments, not a prediction of the number needed to achieve your goals. Maintenance treatments may sometimes be useful, depending on future growth and your response.
Before your appointment
Preparation helps make treatment more consistent and reduces avoidable irritation. Follow the instructions provided for your treatment area and individual circumstances.
- Shave the treatment area before your appointment as directed.
- Avoid waxing, plucking, epilation or other methods that remove hair from the root before laser sessions. The hair needs to remain available as a treatment target.
- Avoid tanning and significant sun exposure. Tell BE SPACE about recent sun exposure or self-tanning products.
- Arrive with the area clean and free from lotions, oils, deodorant, makeup and other products unless different instructions have been provided for that area.
- Disclose medications, recent skin treatments, irritation, active skin changes or other circumstances that may affect treatment.
Do not stop prescribed medication based on information on this page. Discuss any medication changes with the healthcare professional who prescribed it.
Aftercare and when to seek advice
Temporary redness, warmth or mild swelling around treated hair follicles may occur after laser hair removal. Individual responses vary.
- Treat the skin gently and follow the instructions provided for the treated area.
- Protect the area from unnecessary sun exposure and use appropriate sun protection.
- Avoid aggressive exfoliation and active skincare products while the skin is sensitive, until the area has settled.
- Follow your treatment-area instructions for heat, exercise, swimming, shaving and skincare. Restrictions can vary.
- Do not wax or pluck treated hair between sessions unless specifically instructed otherwise.
If a reaction looks unusual, is severe or does not improve as expected, contact BE SPACE for guidance. For urgent or significant symptoms, seek appropriate medical care.
Questions before booking
How much does laser hair removal cost at BE SPACE?
The price depends on the area or combination you select. The pricing tables show the current menu, with one-appointment and six-appointment prices where available. All listed prices are before HST; HST is added on top.
Do I need a consultation before booking treatment?
Not always. You can book treatment directly or begin with a free laser consultation when you need help deciding. A test patch is performed before treatment proceeds either way.
Can I shave between appointments?
Follow the instructions for your treated area, particularly while the skin is sensitive. Before your next appointment, shave as directed. Avoid waxing or plucking between sessions unless specifically instructed otherwise.
Does laser hair removal work on every hair colour?
No. Because the treatment targets pigment, blonde, white, grey and red hair can respond less effectively. Discuss your hair characteristics and expectations before deciding on treatment.
Can deeper skin tones be treated?
There are laser options used for deeper skin tones, including 1064 nm Nd:YAG. BE SPACE has this technology, but your own suitability and treatment approach still require individual assessment.
Do I need to choose Alexandrite or Nd:YAG when I book?
No. Choose the area you want to treat. Yuliia selects the appropriate wavelength and approach after assessment; you do not need to choose between them yourself.
Will a six-appointment package complete my course?
Not necessarily. Six appointments describe the package you purchase, not a guaranteed treatment outcome. Progress and the next steps are reviewed during the course.
Might I need maintenance later?
Possibly. Future hair growth and individual response help determine whether maintenance would be useful. It is not the same requirement for every client or area.
