Microneedling in Mississauga

Thoughtful skin care starts with understanding your options. Explore microneedling at BE SPACE, with clear appointment pricing and space to discuss your skin, your goals and recovery before deciding.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling uses fine needles to create small punctures in the skin. The general principle is to trigger a repair response; changes in collagen are part of the mechanism discussed in clinical microneedling. That does not tell us how much change an individual will see. The device, treatment approach and skin being treated all matter.
It is often discussed in relation to uneven texture, fine lines and the appearance of some acne scars. These are starting points for an assessment, rather than a promise that one procedure can address every concern.

How the concept works
- Fine-needle contact
- A skin response
- Individual reassessment
This is a conceptual explanation, not a diagram of treatment depth or a schedule of results. A response after treatment and a lasting cosmetic improvement are different things.
Find your starting point
Start with what you would like to understand about your skin. These topics guide your reading; they do not select a treatment for you.
Uneven texture
Describe what you notice: how your skin feels, how it looks and what has changed. Texture is a broad concern, and the reason behind it matters when considering a procedure. Bring your current skincare routine and the names of any previous treatments to the discussion.
The appearance of acne scars
Some depressed acne scars are among the concerns studied with microneedling. A scar, a colour change left after a breakout and active acne are different issues. Assessment helps clarify which concern you have and whether microneedling belongs in the conversation; it does not promise complete scar removal.
Fine lines
Fine lines are another reason people ask about microneedling. Discuss the change you hope to see and the limits of treatment. The aim of that conversation is a realistic plan, not a promise of a completely smooth or permanently changed face.

Treatments and pricing
Two appointments are listed below. Choose what you would like to discuss, then confirm the treatment details and suitability before booking. All prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable HST is additional.
01
Microneedling
$250 CAD · 90 minutes
A focused appointment for people considering microneedling within their facial-care plan.
If you are curious about texture, fine lines or acne-scar appearance, start by explaining your priorities and any previous treatment experience. The discussion should cover the proposed method, realistic possibilities, limitations and what recovery would mean for your routine. Interest in a concern does not establish that this service is suitable for your skin.
Before proceeding, confirm the treatment area, products and comfort measures, together with your preparation and aftercare instructions. The listed 90 minutes is the appointment duration, not a promise of 90 minutes of needling.
02
Microneedling + Peeling
$300 CAD · 120 minutes
A combined service for visitors who want to discuss microneedling alongside a peeling component.
The name alone does not tell you which peel will be used, how the components will be arranged or whether the combination is appropriate for you. Confirm these details before choosing the appointment, including the care required afterwards. The longer booking is not a promise of greater improvement.
Consider this option through a discussion of the proposed treatment and your priorities, rather than treating it as an automatic upgrade. Its 120-minute appointment duration does not specify the time spent on either component.
What happens during an appointment?
Think of the visit in three parts: understanding the plan, deciding whether to proceed and knowing how to care for your skin afterwards. This is a guide to the conversation, not a fixed sequence of products or treatment steps.

01
Before deciding
Share your goals, health information and previous skin reactions. Ask which method is proposed, who will perform it and what experience they have with the treatment. You should understand the possible benefits, risks and alternatives before agreeing.
02
If you proceed
Confirm the area being treated and ask for an explanation of the planned steps and comfort options. Do not assume that a product or step shown in a social video is included in every appointment. Tell the person treating you if you are uncomfortable or need a pause.
03
Before you leave
Ask for clear instructions for your skincare and daily activities, including how to get advice if your recovery concerns you. Make sure you know whom to contact and when medical attention may be needed.
Microneedling or a chemical peel?
They are different approaches, and choosing between them starts with the concern you want assessed. Neither is automatically the better option.
What is the main difference?
Microneedling: fine needles create controlled punctures as part of a treatment intended to stimulate a skin response.
Chemical peel: a solution is applied to the skin to produce a controlled exfoliating effect. The formulation and depth of the peel influence its effects and care requirements.
What should guide the discussion?
Microneedling: ask about the device, the intended treatment area and whether the method fits your concern and skin history.
Chemical peel: ask which peel is proposed, why it has been chosen and what preparation and recovery it involves. The word “peel” covers different treatments.
What about recovery?
Compare the guidance for the actual treatments being proposed. There is no single recovery schedule that applies to every microneedling treatment or every peel. A combined service needs its own explanation; two separate aftercare lists do not automatically describe the combination.
Explore chemical peels at BE SPACE for the dedicated peel menu and education.

Before your appointment
Bring a list of your skincare products, medications and recent treatments. Mention previous reactions and anything currently affecting the area you want treated. This gives the conversation more useful detail than a goal alone.
Ask for preparation instructions that fit the proposed treatment. In particular, clarify any changes to exfoliants or retinoids and how to plan around sun exposure. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own. If medication advice is needed, involve the prescribing clinician.
Tell BE SPACE about upcoming travel, photographs or an important event. Leave room to discuss recovery rather than planning around a guaranteed “back to normal” date.
Before the appointment, make sure you understand what is included, what remains to be assessed and what would happen if treatment needs to be postponed.
Caring for your skin afterwards
Follow the instructions provided for your treatment, including cleansing, moisturising and sun protection. Avoid picking or scrubbing treated skin. Check before introducing products that could irritate it, even if they are part of your usual routine.
Ask when you can return to makeup, exercise, swimming, heat exposure and active skincare. The answer should reflect your treatment and how your skin is recovering, rather than a general online timetable. Instructions for a combined appointment may differ from those for microneedling alone.
Keep your aftercare information somewhere easy to find. If a product stings or your skin changes in a way you did not expect, get advice rather than adding more products to manage it yourself.
What to expect afterwards
Early skin response
Temporary redness or a change in skin colour, sensitivity and swelling can occur. Dryness or flaking is also possible. The appearance and intensity of a response vary, and a stronger reaction is not proof of a better result.
Recovery in daily life
Consider both how your skin feels and the care your routine will need. Visible changes, work demands and plans outdoors may affect when you feel comfortable returning to normal activities. There is no single downtime promise for everyone.
Assessing change
Allow recovery and cosmetic assessment to be separate conversations. An immediate post-treatment photograph cannot establish a lasting result. Ask when to review your response and whether any further treatment is appropriate; no fixed course or maintenance schedule is implied by the menu.
When to seek advice
Microneedling has risks, including infection, pigment changes and scarring. Seek medical advice promptly if you develop blistering, increasing pain, spreading redness or another significant or worsening reaction. Do not assume every reaction is part of normal recovery.
When treatment may need to wait
Contact BE SPACE before your appointment if the area is inflamed, sunburned, broken or affected by an active infection or cold sore. A new skin problem needs assessment before a cosmetic procedure.
Share any history of difficult healing, raised scars, relevant allergies, medical conditions or medication use, and mention pregnancy or breastfeeding. These details can change the assessment or mean treatment should be deferred. They are discussion points, not a complete screening checklist or a way to clear yourself for treatment.
Microneedling questions, answered
What is microneedling?
It is a treatment that uses fine needles to puncture the skin. Read the concept explanation for the distinction between the treatment action and an individual result.
What is microneedling used for?
Texture, fine lines and some acne scars are common topics. Start with the concern guide; an interest in one of these areas does not mean treatment is suitable for you.
Does microneedling hurt?
Discomfort is possible. Describe any concerns about pain before deciding, and ask what comfort measures are appropriate for the proposed treatment. “Painless” would not be a reliable promise.
What happens during a session?
The appointment guide sets out questions to cover before, during and after treatment. Confirm the actual steps with BE SPACE; a short video cannot show everything included in a visit.
Is numbing always required?
Do not assume that numbing is either required or included. Ask BE SPACE whether it is proposed for your appointment, what would be used and what information they need from you before use.
What should I expect after treatment?
Plan for individual recovery rather than an instant finished result. The expectations section separates early skin response, daily activities and later assessment so that each can be discussed clearly.
Is temporary redness possible?
Yes. Redness or another visible colour change can occur. If the response is worsening, significant or different from the guidance you received, seek advice rather than assuming it is normal.
Can I return to work afterwards?
Discuss the demands of your work and whether visible skin changes would affect you. Confirm your own return-to-activity guidance; the appointment length is not a measure of recovery time.
Can I exercise afterwards?
Ask for specific guidance on your usual exercise, including heat, sweating and swimming. Do not choose a restart time from someone else’s experience; confirm it for your treatment and recovery.
When can I wear makeup again?
Confirm when makeup can be reintroduced and how to use it within your aftercare plan. Being ready for an event and being ready to apply makeup are separate questions.
What should I avoid before treatment?
Ask for a review of your skincare, recent procedures and sun exposure. The preparation section helps you organise that discussion. Do not change prescribed medication without advice from the prescribing clinician.
What skincare should I avoid afterwards?
Ask which products to pause and when to restart them, including retinoids, exfoliating acids and scrubs. A product you normally tolerate may be unsuitable during recovery; follow the instructions for your treatment.
Can microneedling help the appearance of acne scars?
It may be considered for some depressed acne scars. The type of scar and your skin history matter; raised scars and active acne need a different assessment. No treatment should be described as erasing every scar.
Can I discuss fine lines or uneven texture?
Yes. Explain what you notice and what improvement would mean to you. That gives the assessment a clear focus without assuming that microneedling is the right answer for every line or texture concern.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no fixed course attached to these menu prices. Ask how progress would be assessed and what would guide a decision about another appointment. A package or repeat booking should not replace that discussion.
Is there downtime?
Allow for the possibility of visible changes and adjustments to your routine. Discuss work, travel and important dates before booking. A universal “no downtime” claim would leave out individual recovery needs.
How is microneedling different from a chemical peel?
Microneedling uses needles; a chemical peel uses a solution applied to the skin. Read the comparison for questions to ask about the actual options, rather than treating either name as a complete treatment plan.
What does Microneedling + Peeling mean?
It is BE SPACE’s combined appointment, listed at $300 CAD for 120 minutes. Confirm the peel, proposed sequence and care requirements before booking; the name does not specify them.
Who may need to postpone treatment?
A current skin problem or information from your health history may mean treatment needs to wait. Read when treatment may need to wait, and ask for assessment rather than using an online checklist to decide you are suitable.
Do I need a consultation before booking?
If you are unsure about the service or have questions about suitability, contact BE SPACE first. Ask whether a separate consultation is appropriate and how to arrange it; a separate visit or consultation fee is not implied here.
